We start our tour in Archanes, a typical traditional settlement with interesting architecture and a long tradition in vine cultivation and wine production.

Next, we visit the site of Vathypetro, where one of the world’s oldest winepresses has been discovered, dating back to the Minoan times.

The journey continues to the nearby village of Skalani, where we will have the opportunity to visit an ecological olive mill and learn how virgin Cretan olive oil is produced.

We continue driving through a lovely Cretan landscape with vineyards and olive groves until Thrapsano, a beautiful historic village with a long tradition in pottery. We will visit pottery workshops and learn the secrets of this centuries-old Cretan art from the village artisans. We finish our tour with a traditional Cretan meal in one the villages of the region.

Comfortable clothing & shoes

Summer in Crete can be hot and during our tours we may need to walk around. For this reason, we suggest you wear comfortable and light clothes and shoes suitable for walking.

Sun protection

The Cretan sun is strong, so please take all necessary measures to protect yourselves. A hat, sunglasses and sunblock are your best friends! Do not forget to drink water frequently to stay hydrated.
